Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Testing and Inspection

Idle Stabilizer Diagram:

- Remove the idle stabilizer valve harness connector.

- Measure the resistance between the two terminals of the idle stabilizer valve.

- The correct measurement should be 4 ohms - 12 ohms.

^ If NOT: Replace the idle stabilizer valve.

- Reconnect the idle stabilizer valve harness connector.

- The idle stabilizer valve should hum and vibrate slightly when the ignition is turned "ON".

^ If NOT: The Electronic Control Module (ECM) or harness may be defective.
