Throttle Switch Location:

1. With the ignition "OFF", disconnect the throttle switch connector and connect a suitable volt/ohm meter between terminals of the switch. Set the volt/ohm meter to ohms.
2. Close the throttle fully.

^ The measurement should be less than 1 ohm (continuity).

3. Open the throttle (off idle).

^ The measurement should be infinite ohms (no continuity).

4. If the throttle switch is properly adjusted (refer to ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES) and the correct measurements are not obtained the throttle switch is defective. Replace the throttle switch.
