Wire harness with optimized construction. Gasket reinforced in electrical connector of control valve actuators:

Increased inspection of locking rod on actuators:
as of: 12/90 VIN: 31 ME 144 500





Service:

All vehicles with the above conditions and are before VIN 31 ME 180 000, perform the following:

^ Replace all four control valve actuators Part No. 357 862 153, with the following:

Part No. 357 862 153 B (front actuators) Part No. 357 852 153 C (rear actuators)

Note:
Refer to Repair Manual Microfiche group 57 and 58 for removal, installation and adjustment procedures.

^ Clean and dry all actuator connectors, replace any corroded connectors

^ Inspect wire harness for correct routing and for pinched wires
