When testing Airbag Systems with VAG 1551 diagnostic tester, the following fault codes may be displayed. All these codes indicate ECU component malfunction.
Fault code xx 70 : Fault is present at this time (permanent fault)
Fault code xx B0 : Fault is not present at this time (sporadic fault)
Instead of the xx one of the following will be part of the display:
43, 44, 45, 46, 47,48, 49, 4A, 4B, 4C, 4D, 4E
51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 59, 5A, 5C, 5D, 5F
60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69
Replace airbag ECU when any of the above codes is read out with the VAG 1551.
