Work Procedure - G60

- Open hood.

- Loosen gas cap to release fuel system pressure; re-tighten gas cap.





- Remove air intake hose "A" by loosening clamps "B".





- Disconnect fuel feed hose/fuel line from bracket "G".





- Remove fuel hose clamps "J" and "K".





- Use specially designed cutting knife, pant number KL 2298, and carefully slice both ends of fuel feed hose open (see arrow) to prepare hose for easy removal.

CAUTION:
Be certain not to cut into plastic fuel pipe. Use only the supplied cutting knife.

- Use special hose clamp pliers part number VAG 1819, and push two new hose clamps, part number N 102 922 01, on to new fuel hose, part number 037 133 990E. Push both clamps toward center of hose.





- Install new fuel feed hose; attach hose to fuel line "G" before attaching to fuel rail connection "M".

- Use clamp pliers and move both clamps into position. Clamps must be about 1 mm from end of hose.

- Push hose and fuel line back into respective brackets.

- Reinstall air intake hose.

- Start engine.

- Check for leaks.

- Close hood.
