Transfer Pump

Fuel Transfer Pump:

The Fuel Transfer Pump is mounted in the fuel tank as part of an integral assembly with the fuel gauge sender. The transfer pump is used to supply fuel to the main fuel pump under low pressure. The transfer pump is cooled and lubricated by the fuel that flows through it and may therefore be damaged if allowed to run dry or if the fuel pickup strainer becomes blocked.
