Dear Volkswagen Owner:
This is to inform you of a service action campaign involving 1990 and 1991 California model Volkswagen Jetta GLI vehicles. Our records indicate that your car is one of the vehicles involved in this action.
Problem Description Volkswagen has found that some 1990 and 1991 California model Volkswagen Jetta GLI vehicles were inadvertently manufactured with an incorrect vacuum hose routing label located in the engine compartment. This label is required by California emissions regulations.
Remedy We would like to replace the incorrect label with a correct one. Enclosed with this letter is a new vacuum hose routing label which should be affixed to your car pursuant to the enclosed instructions. If you wish, you may affix the label yourself or, if you prefer, you may have the label affixed free of charge by your authorized Volkswagen dealer.
In either case, as soon as the label has been affixed, we ask that you please complete and return the enclosed self-addressed postage-free "Owner Reply Card" to us.
We regret any inconvenience this matter may cause, however, we want to make sure that your Volkswagen is equipped with a label containing correct information. Again, we ask that you complete and return the "Owner Reply Card" immediately after the label has been affixed.
