A/C drain hose leaks water condensation onto carpet and carpet pads of vehicle.

Service

Connect drain hose to evaporator case and dry carpet.

Note

In cases where the carpet is severely soaked with water, removal of the carpet for drying and replacement of the padding under the carpet may be necessary.

Remove, Dry and Install Carpet

^ remove seats (front and rear)

^ remove seatbelt anchors

^ remove door sill moldings

^ remove hand brake cover and console

^ remove lower part of instrument panel

^ remove vaporator trim panel and lower heat duct

^ remove inside hood release handle

^ remove accelerator stop and all carpet clips

^ remove rear quarter trim panels

^ Partially remove both door weather strips


^ remove A/C drain tube

^ remove carpet

^ allow carpet to dry and dry padding
^ replace padding if severe mold or musty smell in padding will not come out using normal drying/cleaning procedures

^ install carpet

^ install door weatherstrips and A/C drain tube to evaporator case

^ install both rear quarter trim panels

^ install hood release handle

^ install accelerator stop

^ install all carpet clips

^ install evaporator trim panel and lower heater duct

^ install lower part of instrument panel

^ install center console and hand brake cover

^ install seat belt anchors and door sill moldings

^ install seats (front and rear)
