Idle/Throttle Speed Control Unit: Description and Operation
G-Charger Boost Control Components:
The idle stabilizer valve, which is located in the bypass pipe, maintains the appropriate idle speed for various engine operating conditions.
Idle Stabilizer Exploded View:
The idle stabilizer valve consists of a set of electrical windings, the valve plunger, a return spring and valve housing. The Digifant control unit supplies the stabilizer valve with approx. 400 mA of current at idle. As current is passed through the valve windings the magnetic field which is created regulates the position of the valve plunger. If the idle speed varies from the correct specification the Digifant control unit increases or decreases current to the idle stabilizer in order to provide the necessary valve opening for idle stabilization.
