Reverse idler shaft and reverse gear modified

Revised reverse gear idler shaft





Beginning with transmission date 15 08 0, washer A between reverse gear shaft and needle bearing, is deleted.

The contact surface of the reverse gear shaft is raised in the area of the needle bearing.

^ dimension a = current 14.2 mm
new 14.4 mm

Note
The revised reverse gear shaft can also be installed in current transmissions (before 15 08 0). The washer A must then not be installed.

Reverse gear modified

Beginning with transmission date 18 09 0, the groove on the gear carrier housing side of the reverse gear is deleted.





The height of the needle bearing (dimension a) is reduced to prevent contact with the gear.

^ dimension a = current 5.00 mm
new 3.85 mm

Revised needle bearing, installing





Revised needle bearing, together with the revised reverse gear. can be installed in current transmissions (before 18 09 0).
