March 1993

Subject:
Recall Campaign SH
199O-92 Volkswagen Corrado Vehicles
Replace Fuel Hose and Clamps

Dear Volkswagen Retailer:

This is to inform you of the initiation of a recall campaign involving 1990 through some early production model 1992 Volkswagen Corrado vehicles. The vehicles affected are within the following vehicle identification number range:

WVW__450_LK000001 - WVW__450_NK015586

Defect Description

We have found that the fuel feed hose to the fuel distribution rail could settle more than the existing hose clamp can compensate for. This may lead to occasional fuel seepage at the hose connection.

Remedial Action

Replace fuel feed hose and fuel hose clamps.
