To replace the Auxiliary Air Regulator:

Auxiliary Air Regulator:

1. Remove the intake air hose from the air flow sensor and the throttle valve housing.
2. Disconnect the harness connector from regulator.
3. Loosen hose clamps and remove the hoses.
4. Remove the two (2) socket-head mounting bolts and remove regulator. Note mounting position before removal.
5. Install new Auxiliary Air Regulator using the socket-head bolts, making sure regulator faces proper direction. Torque mounting bolts to:

87 in.lbs. (10 Nm)

6. Install hoses on regulator and tighten clamps.

NOTE: Check both Auxiliary Air Regulator hoses for proper operating clearance and kinking. Make sure Auxiliary Air Regulator hose near battery does not rub or contact battery tray. If hose is too close or rubbing on battery tray, additional clearance can be obtained by rotating the regulator hose.

7. If battery tray clearance is needed, loosen both hose clamps on affected hose (A) and rotate the hose 90° towards the engine (this should increase clearance) then tighten hose clamps.
8. Reconnect harness connector to regulator.
9. Reinstall intake air hose.
