- soak new plates in ATF for 15 minutes before installing

- check that play is 2.05-2.50 mm (0.081-0.098 in.)

- assemble both forward clutch and direct reverse clutch with thrust washers on oil pump
- blow compressed air into port (arrow)
- piston must compress clutch plates
- piston must release plates when compressed air is removed
