Front Bumper: Service and Repair

Front Bumper, Removing/Installing





1 Bumper cover:
- installation use special tool 3188, 3188/1.
- replacement covers supplied unpainted

2 Filler strip

3 Bumper

4 Wedge

5 Clip

6 Spoiler:
- two versions available.

7 Cover:
- install after painting bumper cover.

Removing

WARNING
DO NOT drive vehicle without the front bumper and brackets installed. Subframe is NOT property secured with bumper removed.





- Loosen air deflector (E) or (F) (left/right).





- Disconnect wiring (1) for turn signals.

- Remove serrated bolts (arrows) from underside:
82 Nm (60.5 ft lb)

CAUTION
Always replace serrated bolts after repair.





- Pull bumper assembly forward (driving direction) out of guides:

1 bumper
2 guide
3 filter strip
4 fender

Installing

- Reinstall all components in reverse order of removal.
