The new automatic transmission shift point information that follows will be integrated into the appropriate Repair Manuals at the next filming.

Shift Points, checking

If the automatic transmission seems to shift to the next gear too early or too late, check the shift points and compare them with those specified in the charts which follow.

The observed shift points must fall within the mph (km/h) range specified. Speedometer variations will cause shift point readings to deviate within the permissible tolerance range.

H = hydraulic shift

M = mechanical shift

Determine the cause of any deviations from the shifting points, by using the On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) procedures in Repair Group O1 (or D3).

Note
Due to torque converter slippage, the 3H - 3M shift can occur at higher speeds than the chart indicates.
