Vehicle Damage Warnings
AIR BAG SYSTEMSRefer to "Air Bag System Precautions" for system disarming and arming procedures.
AUDIO CODED ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM
Some models are equipped with a radio anti-theft system that will disable the system when battery power is interrupted, unless the system is reset the radio will not operate.
1. Turn radio to On position, SAFE should be displayed.
2. Depress and hold AM/FM and SCAN buttons until 1000 remains on display.
If AM/FM and SCAN buttons are depressed too long or depressed again, radio will misinterpret the 1000 as an attempt at coding and one incorrect coding attempt will be logged. After two incorrect attempts to reset system radio will lock up electronically, if this occurs leave radio ON for approximately 1 hour, then reset radio as if battery power were disconnected.
3. Enter radio code using first four program station buttons, security code will appear on display.
4. Depress and hold AM/FM and SCAN buttons again until SAFE is displayed.
5. Release AM/FM and SCAN buttons, display should change to a radio frequency and operate normally.
BRAKE FLUID
Do not allow brake fluid to come in contact with painted surfaces. Brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air and should therefore be replaced every two years.
Do not use silicone based brake fluid (DOT 5). Even the smallest traces may cause corrosion in the brake system.
