Eurovan - Front Window Regulators Work Procedure

Ensure clean working conditions.

Open right front door.

Cover rear seat with protective cloth.

Move window up.

Hold window in place by using wedge tool from special tool kit, KL 3397.





Remove door lock knob (5).

Use Allen wrench and remove screws retainers (8).

Remove, where applicable, door frame trim piece (1).

Remove left and right inner door panel screws (10).

Pry off trim cover by using a flathead screwdriver and remove cover.

Remove handle screws and remove handle.

Remove power window switch by depressing switch lock on top under rim slightly and remove switch-disconnect from harness.

Remove door panel by lifting and pulling toward you.

Remove window regulator bolts.





Remove regulator assembly through top opening

Move to workbench.

Use new replacement regulator, part number 701 837 462A, and transfer regulator by:





Using rocking motion to carefully separate drive cable from motor.

Attaching new regulator motor to motor housing.

Removing plastic cover from regulator gear box.

Reinstalling metal cover plate.

Cutting tie wraps securing the drive cable.

Reinstall regulator assembly unit into door - tighten bolts to 8 N-m.

Reassemble door panel in reverse order.





NOTE:
During reassemble ensure that the inside slot seal of the panel is properly in place.

Repeat steps at left side door.

After completion, have service manager/ service advisor check installation and function and sign Quality Check Statement. Attach to repair order.
