Special Tools
In order to perform the window regulator replacement properly and more efficiently, we have developed a special tool kit. This tool kit, part number KL3397, will be shipped to you prior to owner notification free of charge.





Parts Supply
An initial supply of replacement window regulators including associated parts will automatically be allocated to you. See illustration.

Additional replacement parts must be ordered by you from your Parts Depot.








Additional Parts
It is possible that during repair you may occasionally need to replace one of the parts. See illustration.

Please order these parts only as required from your Parts Depot.

Time Allowance
The time for replacement of both window regulators is as follows:

Passat - 290 T.U.

EuroVan - 130 T.U.

Please note
the replacement of additional parts must be claimed under one (1) claim, Part Identifier SW 73 99 000 2 with a Warranty Claim Type FM.

Old Regulators
Removed regulators, as well as all other parts, must be discarded immediately after the motor has been removed.

Prior Repair
If an owner has paid for a prior repair for which he/she seeks reimbursement, please suggest that he/she sends the original repair order to:

Dealer Obligation
This program is designed to achieve maximum owner satisfaction. Therefore, we ask that you:

Make it as convenient as possible for the owner to make his/her car available for this service

Offer to pick up and return the vehicle or provide a free loaner car for one day

Return the vehicle to the owner washed and vacuumed

Present the Service Coupon

Take the initiative to call owners for an appointment, provided it is within the scope of the individual stage mailing

Please provide a copy of this circular to every person in your retail facility who has recall-related responsibilities and show and discuss the video with your service technicians.
