Vacuum Vent Valve: Service and Repair

To prevent trapping vacuum in throttle control element and inadvertent racing of engine, ensure throttle pedal is fully returned before connecting vacuum line to vent valve.

1. Remove lower instrument panel covers.
2. Disconnect vacuum line and electrical connectors from valve.
3. Unscrew valve from bracket.
4. Reverse procedure to install, ensure pedal for valve is fully returned to stop after valve is installed.
