A magazine article reported that vehicles mentioned above may be retrofitted with a glove box which has been imported from Germany.
Service
Retrofit of ANY glove box into the models listed above is NOT authorized by Volkswagen of America, Inc.
Note:
This applies to any glove box imported from Germany and glove boxes provided as original equipment in later model 1996 Golf, GTI, Jetta and Cabrio vehicles.
