Condition

Golf III and Jetta vehicles (excluding GLX) with dual airbags are equipped with a single horn system.

Production

VW of Mexico is using only the single horn system on all airbag equipped vehicles beginning with the start of production for these vehicles.

Service

Do not install supplementary horns in these vehicles as it can cause the Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) to erroneously illuminate.
