Roof Trim Assembly/Headliner - Removal

Roof trim, assembly





1 - Headliner

2 - Trim strip, rear

3 - Grab handle cap

4 - Grab handle

5 - Screw

6 - Spacer

^ For interior light

^ On vehicles with sliding/tilting roof, spacer is located in front of interior light cutout

7 - Center mark

^ Align to center of vehicle (center clip hole)

Headliner, removing

- Disconnect battery ground cable





- Carefully pry out interior light with screwdriver





- Remove cable drive cover and sliding roof cutout beading (vehicles with sliding/tilting roof only)





- Turn sun visor -1- 90°, remove screws and, if necessary, separate connector

- Remove sun visor mounting -2-

A-pillar trim, removing

- Remove screw -1- and pull A-pillar trim off
(note position of lug -3- and securing clip -2-)





B-pillar trim, removing

- Remove seat belt B-pillar attachment, if necessary





- Pull off B-pillar trim -1-

Note:

^ Securing clips -3- (2-door vehicles only) and -4- stay on B-pillar

^ Tabs on sides of trim grip onto beading on B-pillar

^ Plate -2- is clipped into B-pillar trim -1-

C-pillar trim, removing





- Remove screw -1- and pull oft upper part of C-pillar trim

- Remove remaining fasteners and pull off trim

Rear trim strip, removing





- Pull trim strip off

1 - Securing clip

- Remove grab handles

Note:
On vehicles with a sliding/tilting roof, the front grab handles are marked with a "V" and the rear grab handles with an .

- Lower headliner and remove from vehicle (requires a second person to prevent damage to headliner)
