Special tools, testers and auxiliary items
- US 8026 Hand vacuum pump

Test sequence
- Pull vacuum hose off exhaust gas recirculation valve
- Connect US 8026 hand vacuum pump to EGR valve





- Operate hand pump
- The diaphragm rod must move toward vacuum connection (observe membrane rod via opening -arrow-)
- Disconnect US 8026 hand vacuum pump from EGR valve
- Valve must clearly be heard to close (diaphragm rod moves toward intake manifold)
