Reactivating Radio After Power Disconnect
If the radio is disconnected from its power source, it cannot be operated until the correct code number is re-entered. Coding the radio is similar to the Heidelberg V Radio.
- Turn the radio on - The word "SAFE" is displayed.
- Press the AM/FM button and the SCAN button simultaneously and hold them down. This will cause the radio to take the number "1000" as a code number.
- Enter code number using the first four station buttons.
- Once the correct code is displayed, press and hold the AM/FM button and the SCAN button simultaneously until the word "SAFE" appears on the frequency display. Release the buttons and a radio station frequency will be displayed.
If the incorrect code number is entered, the word "SAFE" will appear in the frequency display. A second attempt can be made to enter the proper code number. The number of attempts is shown in the preset station display. (If the wrong code number is entered again, the radio will electronically lock up for one hour),
Turn on the radio for approximately one hour. The radio will not play. After the number of attempts shown in the preset station display goes out, the radio code can be entered.
This cycle will repeat if the incorrect code number is entered two times.
