Exhaust Pipe: Service and Repair

FRONT EXHAUST PIPE WITH ATTACHMENTS, COMPONENT LAYOUT

NOTES:
- Removing and installing exhaust manifold, removing and installing turbocharger with attachments, refer to "Turbocharging Components, System Overview". Service and Repair
- After working on the exhaust system, ensure that the system is not under stress, and that it has sufficient clearance from the bodywork. If necessary loosen the double and single clamps and align the muffler and exhaust pipe so that sufficient clearance is maintained to the bodywork and the support rings are evenly loaded.
- Replace self-locking nuts





1 - From Turbocharger
2 - Gasket
- Replace
3 - 25 Nm (18 ft lb)
4 - Front exhaust pipe
5 - Sealing ring
- Replace if damaged
6 - Catalyst
7 - To intermediate pipe
8 - Retainer
- Between exhaust pipe and exhaust manifold
