Radiator Hose: Service and Repair

NOTE: During removal and installation procedures, refer to the component location illustration above and component notes below.

COMPONENT NOTES
O-ring (1)
- Always replace.

Bolt (2)
- Tighten to: 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.).

Hose (3)
- From Expansion Tank.

Engine Coolant temperature sensor (G62) or Engine Temperature sensor (G27) (5)
- With Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (G2).

Hose (6)
- To Charge Air Cooler.

Third Speed Coolant Fan Control (F165) (7)
- Thermal switch only as an option.
- Switching temperatures:

On: 110-115°C (230-239°F).
Off: 105-110°C (221-230°F).

Hose (8)
- From Charge Air Cooler.

Hose (9)
- To Expansion Tank.

Oil Cooler (12)
- Refer to Engine Lubrication.

Hose (13)
- To Bottom Of Radiator.

Water Pump Mounting Bolt and Studs (14)
- Tighten to: 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.) + 1/4 turn (90°).
- Always replace.

Bracket For Ribbed Drive Belts Without Tensioner (15)
- For ribbed Drive Belts without tensioner.

Nut (16)
- Tighten to: 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).

Hose (19)
- To Top Of Radiator.
