Automatic shoulder belt system, troubleshooting

Test conditions
^ battery OK
^connector

Tools required
^ multimeter US 1119

Note: Always refer to appropriate wiring diagram when troubleshooting.


Both belts do not move to B-pillar with doors shut, ignition ON

Driver or passenger belt does not move to B-pillar

Driver or passenger belt does NOT move to A-pillar when door opened

Belts (driver or passenger) only move to A-pillar when door opened with key removed





Belts do not move to A-pillar after removing ignition key, (driver or passenger side)





Driver belt moves to A-pillar when vehicle shifted into reverse





Seat belt warning light does not light belts at B-pillar, ignition ON





Seat belt warning light comes On, with belts connected and ignition ON
