Checking Anti Theft Function
Requirements:- Doors, rear lid/tailgate and fuel filler flap closed
- Door windows fully open
Checking:
- Lock driver's door with key, then pull both lock knobs up within 12 seconds.
- 12 seconds after locking, the Central Locking System Pump must run, and all doors should be locked again.
- After another 15 seconds, pull both lock knobs up, one after the other (wait at least 24 seconds after locking with key).
- It must not be possible to pull the lock knobs into the unlocked position. The pump starts and pulls the lock knobs back down. At the same time the door lock is deactivated and it is no longer possible to open the door.
- In this process, there is an audible locking sound (as the safety coil deactivates the door locks).
- The doors are locked and secured, the rear lid/tailgate and the fuel filler flap are locked.
- Repeat the test starting with the passenger door.
