After road test; check idle speed, engine for leaks, automatic transmission fluid level, power steering fluid level, exhaust system for damage and leaks, Diagnostic Trouble Code Memory, erase as necessary.
    Data Link Connector
      Check Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) Memory with VAG 1551 Scan Tool (ST) and erase if necessary.

      Check condition and pressure (including spare).
    Shift Interlock, A/T
      Check operation, including park/neutral position switch.

      Check fluid level, check for leaks.
    Fluid - Differential
      Automatic Transmission Final Drive: Check fluid level, add if necessary.

      Green coolant used through late 1996. Late 1996 through 1997 uses red coolant.
    Constant Velocity Joint Boot
    Brakes and Traction Control
      Check for damage and/or leaks; check brake pad thickness; check brake fluid level.
