Airbag Modules, Deploying (for Disposal)

CAUTION: DO NOT ignite airbag modules in vehicles.

According to regulations, airbag modules must be rendered unusable by igniting them electrically before scrapping vehicle. This is necessary because airbag module is a pyrotechnic device that may cause injuries if activated in an improper manner (e.g. using a cutting torch).

- Remove driver side airbag module --> 02.98.
- Remove driver side airbag module 03.98 -->.

Use Airbag deployment fixture J-44210 and refer to Airbag Pyrotechnic Deployment Device Instruction Booklet for proper deployment procedure.
