Scheduled Maintenance

Air bag units have an expiration date located on a label attached to the rear of the driver's sun visor. If label is missing, use the vehicle build date listed on a label on the driver's side door pillar. After 10 years, the air bag unit must be replaced. For safety reasons all other air bag system components must also be replaced at this time. After replacing components, install a new air bag date sticker, with the expiration date punched out, on the driver's sun visor.
