Igniting Passengers Side

WARNING:
- DO NOT ignite the airbag units on vehicles that are being returned to service. When replacing airbag unit(s) that have not been deployed, return the old airbag unit(s) to the Warranty Parts Test Center.

To conform with accident prevention regulations, airbag units must be rendered unusable by igniting them electrically before scrapping the vehicle. This is necessary because the airbag unit is a pyrotechnic device that may cause injuries if activated in an improper manner (e.g. scrapping methods using cutting torches).
