READING DISPLAY GROUP O4 / DISPLAY FIELD 1

Checking Solenoid Valves While Driving

- The Solenoid Valves can be checked while driving with the "Read Measured Value Block" function (function 08), Display Group 04 and Display Field 1 using the VAG 1551 Scan Tool.

- VAG 1551 Scan Tool Display Group 04 Display Field 1 is made up of 6 characters (0000 00) and is read as follows:

Non-activated Solenoid Valves are displayed by a "0"

Activated Solenoid Valves are displayed by a "1"





- The tables that follow show how the Solenoid Valves -N88-, -N89-, -N90- and -N91- are controlled in each selector lever position. The Solenoid Valves control the switching valves to the relevant gears.

They are displayed in positions 1 thru 4.

- The Solenoid Valves -N92- and -N94- are supplementary valves that affect gear selection changes and are only controlled during gear changes.

They are displayed in positions 5 and 6.
