Lubrication System Components, Removing/Installing1. Cap
2. Gasket
- Replace if damaged
3. Oil dipstick
- Oil level should not exceed MAX mark
- Oil level between shaded (cross-hatched) area and Max. mark: Do not add additional engine oil
- Oil level within in shaded (cross-hatched) area or below: Add engine oil
4. Dipstick tube
- Remove to draw off oil with extractor system
5. Check valve.
- Tightening torque: 5 Nm (44 in lb)
6. 0.3 Bar Oil Pressure Switch - F22
- 0.3 bar (4.4 psi)
- Tightening torque: 25 Nm (18 ft lb)
- Housing color: Brown
- Wire: Blue/black
- If leaking cut seal and replace.
7. Oil Pressure Switch - F1
- 1.8 bar (26 psi)
- Tightening torque: 25 Nm (18 ft lb)
- Housing color: White
- Wire: Yellow
- If seal is leaking cut open and replace.
8. 20 Nm (15 ft lb)
9. Oil filter bracket
10. 0-ring
- Replace if damaged
11. Oil filter
- Loosen with filter wrench
- Tighten by hand
- Note installation instructions on filter
12. Oil pump gears
- Checking backlash, see Fig. 1 below.
- Checking axial clearance, see Fig. 2 below.
13. Oil pump cover with pressure relief valve
- Opening pressure: 5.7 to 6.7 bar (83 to 97 psi)
14. 10 Nm (7ft lb)
15. 20 Nm (15 ft lb)
- Loosen or tighten bolts on flywheel side with tool 3185 or equivalent 10 mm swivel/extension
16. Oil drain plug
- Tightening torque: 30 Nm (22 ft lb)
17. Seal
- Always replace
18. Oil pan
- Clean maling surfaces before assembly
19. Gasket
- Always replace
- Before installing coat contact surfaces of gasket and cylinder block with D2
20. Oil pickup
- Clean pickup strainer it necessary
21. Baffle plate
- Install only with oil pump removed
22. Gasket
- Always replace
