Convenience Feature (Automatic Opening and Closing)

With the introduction of the windows (front door windows) with convenience feature, the front window regulators are also equipped with an excess force limitation feature (pinch protection).

NOTE: After disconnecting and reconnecting the battery the automatic opening and closing function is inoperative and must be reprogrammed.

Function With Ignition Switched On:

Opening:
- Press and briefly hold the rear part of the respective switch and the window will open fully (automatic window opening)
- If the switch is pressed again the window will stop immediately
- Briefly pressing the switch will open the window approx. 15mm. (approx. 9/16 in.)

Closing:
- Press and briefly hold the front part of the respective switch and the window will close fully (automatic window closing).
- If the switch is pressed again the window will stop immediately.
- Briefly pressing the switch will close the window approx. 15mm. (approx. 9/16 in.).

Function With Ignition Switched Off:
The window regulators can be operated for approx. 10 minutes after switching ignition off, as long as the driver's or front passenger's door have not been opened.

Opening
- Press and briefly hold the rear part of the respective switch and the window will open fully. The window will not open automatically.
- If the switch is pressed again, the window will stop immediately.

Closing
- Press and hold the front part of the respective switch until the window is closed fully. The window will not close automatically.
- If the window in the driver's or front passenger's door is stopped because it is tight or due to interference during the closing sequence (force limitation) the window will open immediately. In this case the window can be closed again only after the ignition is switched on.
