Coding Control Module

Coding Airbag Control Module:
Coding is only possible with a new airbag control module.
- Connect VAG 1551 Scan Tool.
- Switch ignition on.
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) -K75- lights Up Continuously.
- Press -1- button for "Rapid data transfer" operating mode.

- Press buttons -1- and -5- to insert "Airbag" address word 15

- Press buttons -0- and -7- to select "Code Control Module' function 07

If shown, the coding has been completed successfully. If not:

The airbag control module was not correctly programmed with the applicable vehicle data. Coding is no longer possible. The Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) will come on and stay on continuously.

Check whether the correct airbag control module was installed (compare Part No. and identification number), or whether an incorrect dealer number was entered.
