Steering Column: Service Precautions

NOTE: On Air Bag Equipped Models, Refer To "Air Bag" Service and Repair for System Disarming & Arming Procedures.

PRECAUTION

Do not use computer memory saver tool on air bag equipped models. Using the tool will keep the air bag system charged and may cause accidental activation of the air bag unit. Prior to disconnecting the battery negative cable, obtain the radio security code. After service has been completed and the battery negative cable has been reconnected, use security code to activate the radio.
