Production

Beginning 4.97, Jetta Trek II vehicles are equipped with a cargo net which is to be installed in the luggage compartment at the PDI.

^ Cargo net will be shipped in vehicle luggage compartment.

Service

For vehicles equipped with a cargo net, Install as follows:





- Remove outer fasteners for trim cover -1-.

Note:
On some vehicles the trim covers are fastened at the left side only.

The right side hole is stamped in the sheet metal but not through the trim cover. If necessary carefully drill a 10.5 mm (approx. 13/32 in.) hole through trim cover at the hole stamped in sheet metal.

- Install Screw/hooks -3- (with covers) in fastener holes for trim cover -1- (as shown).

Note:
Tighten Screw/hooks by hand until fully seated. Fasteners will expand to the hole size in the sheet metal.

- Install cargo net -2- over hooks as shown.

- Verify net remains in place.
