With Air Conditioning

CAUTION: Before working on electrical system, obtain radio code and disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap.

NOTE:
- Parts marked with an * can only be serviced by specially equipped service workshops, since refrigerant systems must be evacuated beforehand with extraction station ACR4.
- All available procedures for servicing components are not necessarily in this article alone. If the information needed is not found in this article, try looking for information under specific component.




1- Gasket*
- Replace
2- Heat exchanger*
- Gaskets must be bonded gap-free all around.
- If retaining tabs do not engage when assembling, secure heat exchanger with screws.
- After removal replace coolant.

- With fresh/recirculating air flap

- Replacing: First remove instrument panel and foot-well outlets -31-

- Replacing: Remove center console, instrument panel bracket, center vent -13-, heating and fresh air controls -30-, remove shelf on passenger side; loosen instrument panel -26- and lift
16- Air vent, right

- Replacing: Remove shelf on drivers' side and passenger side, center console, instrument panel bracket and pedal cluster cover -33-

- Replacing: First remove pedal cluster cover -33- and footwell cutlet -31-
33- Pedal cluster cover
34- Distributor housing*
- With temperature flap
- With center flap
- With footwell/defrost flap
- Do not disassemble further
