Removing and Installing

CAUTION: Before working on the electrical system obtain radio security code and disconnect the battery ground (GND) strap.

NOTE: All components in the instrument cluster; (with the exception of the printed circuit) can be removed and installed from the front without removing the complete housing.

Instrument Cluster Complete, Removing:





- Remove horn plate and remove steering wheel. Vehicles with Airbags require special service procedures. Disarm Airbag system before servicing any part of steering wheel or column or electrical components relating to these.
Vehicles with Airbags (For disarming procedure and steering wheel removal procedure), refer to "Air Bag Systems and Steering Wheel" for more information.
Air Bag Systems

- Carefully remove grilles -1- using long-nosed pliers.
- Remove 5 screws -arrows- and remove instrument cluster trim.





- Remove securing screws -2- left and right.
- Pull right side of instrument cluster out of instrument panel.
- Disconnect multi-pin connector from rear of housing.
