Checking DTC Memory

Check DTC Memory as follows:
- Switch ON ignition
- Operate Accelerator Pedal five times from Closed Throttle Position to Wide Open Throttle within 5 seconds:
MIL indicator lamp lights up for 2.5 seconds and then turns off for 2.5 seconds

If no emission related malfunctions are stored:
- MIL indicator lamp lights up and turns off in 2.5 sec. intervals

If one or more DTCs are stored:
- The first blink code is displayed
- Count blink groups and construct blink code

The same blink code is repeated until the next blink code series is requested, as follows:
- Again press accelerator pedal five times from Closed Throttle Position to Wide Open Throttle within 5 seconds:
next blink code is displayed
- Continue with sequence until MIL lamp lights up and goes out in 2.5 sec. intervals:
this signifies DTC output has ended
- Correct any malfunctions See DTC Table. Testing and Inspection
