Interpreting Blink Codes
Interpret DTCs, stored in Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory via blink codes as follows:- After a start signal (MIL lamp ON) followed by a pause (MIL lamp OFF) in each case of 2.5 seconds; associated groups of blink code are displayed.
- Each blink code consists of 4 groups of blinks with a maximum of 4 blinks in each group.
- A number between 1 and 4 is achieved by adding individual blinks within a blink group.
- Each blink code consists of a 4 digit number; for example: 2342
- All applicable blink codes are listed in the DTC table to allow ease in locating malfunctions. Testing and Inspection
