Read Measuring Value Block Procedure

To check vehicle, read the measuring value block under the following conditions:
- Ignition ON (engine NOT running)
- At idle (engine warm)
- Brief burst of Wide Open Throttle (during test drive)

WARNING: When operating vehicle to evaluate or troubleshoot, always operate VAG 1551 Scan Tool using a second person.

Test Conditions:
- All electrical consumers switched OFF
- A/C switched OFF
- Automatic Transmission: shift lever in P or N position

Work Sequence:
- Connect Scan Tool VAG 1551/1552
- Start engine and let idle
- Press 0 and 1 buttons to select address word 01 "engine electronics"
Display will appear as shown:

Rapid data transfer HELP
Select function XX

- Press 0 and 8 buttons to select Function 08 "Read measuring value block"
- Press Q button to enter input
Display will appear as shown:

Read measuring value block HELP
Input display group number XX

- Press 0 and 0 button to select "Display group 00"
- Press Q button to enter input

NOTE: Other display group numbers maybe selected, display group 00 is only an example.

Display will appear as shown (1 to 10 = Channels):
