Antitheft and Alarm Systems: Testing and Inspection
Vehicles with anti-theft alarm system can be recognized as follows:- Insert the key into door lock, turn to locked position and hold on while opening and closing another door. The alarm system indicator light (LED) in the door flashes with door closed and does not flash with door open.
- Another characteristic of the anti-theft alarm system is the number of connectors on the anti-theft alarm system control module. The control module contains a 6-pin and a 10-pin connection.
NOTE: The optical and acoustical signal for alarm is: USA: 450 optical and acoustical impulses (alarm horn and flasher lights).

Alarm duration 225 sec

^ Power windows and central locking system fuse OK
^ Battery voltage OK
^ Trunk lid/rear hatch closed and locked
^ Doors closed
^ Hood closed

^ Anti-theft alarm system switched ON
^ Battery voltage OK

Test Conditions:
^ Anti-theft alarm system activated
^ Battery voltage OK
