How to Clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's)

Requirements:
- DTC Memory has been interrogated/

Erasing DTC Memory:
- Press -> key.

V.A.G. Display:

- Indicated on display (clear for function selection):
- Press keys -0- and -5- (function "Erase DTC Memory" is entered with 05).

V.A.G. Display:

- Confirm entry with the Q key.

V.A.G. Display:

- Press -> key.

V.A.G. Display:

- Indicated on display (clear for function selection):

V.A.G. Display:

- If this appears in the display, the test sequence is faulty
- Adhere strictly to test sequence; first of all interrogate DTC Memory, then erase.

Ending Output:
- Press keys -0- and -6- to end output.

V.A.G. Display:

- Confirm entry with the Q key.

V.A.G. Display:

- Switch off ignition.
- Disconnect Scan Tool VAG 1551.
- Switch on ignition. Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp K75 must go out after about 3 seconds.
