With Manufacturer's Scan Tool

NOTES:
- Do NOT switch OFF engine during the test sequence
- If the test procedure sequence is interrupted, or not adhered to, the readiness code will not be generated.
- For this work step, the vehicle is revved up when stationary therefore; apply hand brake and select auto trans neutral range selection.
- Check DTC memory
If a DTC is stored:
- Erase DTC memory

Test Conditions:
- Engine Coolant Temperature 25°C minimum

Test Sequence:
- Start engine and rev-up to 2200 rpm using tach display

At an engine speed of 2200 rpm minimum:
- Release accelerator pedal and allow engine to idle (approx. 900 rpm)
- Switch OFF engine and wait approx. 10 seconds
- Start engine and with vehicle stationary rev-up to 2200 rpm (rev counter display)
- At an engine speed of 2200 rpm minimum, release throttle and allow engine to idle (approx. 900 rpm)
- Display readiness code

If DTC memory has been erased:
- Create readiness code again

If readiness code still not OK:
- Perform work steps again
