COMPONENTS TESTED BY ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTICS

NOTE: If the Engine Control Module (ECM) or Transmission Control Module (TCM) is replaced, or if the repairs are performed on the Throttle Position (TP) Sensor; the system must be restored to the basic setting.

1. Transmission Control Module (TCM) -J2I7-

Location: Transmission Control Module (TCM) -J217- is located under the rear seat.

2. Engine Control Module (ECM)

Location: Engine Control Module is located in right plenum chamber.

3. Data Link Connector (DLC)

Location: The Data Link Connectors (DLC) are located behind the cover next to the ashtray.

4. Valve Body

Location: Valve Body is bolted to underside of the transmission housing inside the oil pan.

^ The Solenoid Valves -N88-, -N89-, -N90-, -N91-, -N92-, -N93-, -N94- are attached to the valve body.

5. Conductor Strip with Fluid Temperature Sensor

Location: The conductor strip is located in the oil pan on the valve body.

^ The conductor strip can be changed with the transmission installed without removing the valve body.
^ Do not kink or damage the conductor strip.

6. Multi-Function Transmission Range (TR) Switch -F125-

Location: At rear of gearbox.

7. Transmission Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) -G38-

Location: On top of transmission.

^ Do not interchange connector T2 for Vehicle Speed Sensors -G38- and -G68-.
