096 Transmission

IDENTIFICATION OF TRANSMISSION
The "096" 4-speed automatic transmission is installed in the Golf III and Jetta III beginning in the 1993 model year, and in the Cabrio beginning in the 1995 model year.

It may be installed in combination with either a 4-cylinder or 6-cylinder engine.
