Headlamp: Description and Operation

CAUTION!
Before working on the electrical system:
- Determine the correct coding for the anti-theft radio.
- Switch ignition off.
- Disconnect the battery Ground (GND) strap.
- After reconnecting battery, recode and check operation of the anti-theft radio. Also check the operation of the clock and the power windows.

NOTE:
After any measures/repairs which could affect the headlight aim, the headlight must be checked and if necessary adjusted refer to "Headlights, Adjusting". Adjustments

1 - Gasket
- Replace if damaged
2 - Cover
- Removing: remove headlight refer to "Headlights, Removing and Installing". Service and Repair
3 - Retaining pockets
- Qty. 4
4 - Headlight housing
- Removing and installing refer to "Headlights, Removing and Installing". Service and Repair
5 - Gasket
- Replace if damaged
6 - Harness connector
- Clipped into headlight housing
7 - Harness connector for high beam bulb
8 - High beam bulb
- H1 12 V, 60 Watt
- Replacing refer to "Headlight Bulb, Replacing". Service and Repair
9 - Harness connector for low beam bulb
10 - Low beam bulb
- H7 12 V, 55 Watt
- Replacing refer to "Headlight Bulb, Replacing". Service and Repair
11 - Headlight glass
- Replace if gasket is faulty
- Removing: unclip tabs Pos. 3
