After DTC memory has been read:

Select function XX

- Press buttons -0- and -5- to select "Erase DTC memory" function 05.

- Confirm entry with -Q- button.

Attention!
DTC memory was not read.

NOTES:
- If the ignition was switched OFF e.g. between interrogating the DTC memory and erasing DTC memory the DTC memory is then not erased.
- Adhere strictly to the sequence of operations, i.e. read DTC memory first.

Indicated on display

Rapid data transfer ->
DTC memory is erased!

(The DTC memory will be erased approx. 5 secs. after the display appears.)

The DTC memory is now erased.

NOTE: Wait about 1 minute before again reading the DTC memory.

Indicated on display:

System cannot be read!

Print out with printer switched ON

1 DTC recognized!

Control module -J217- given no time to recognize malfunctions.
- Wait about 1 minute before again interrogating the DTC memory.
- After interrogating and erasing the DTC memory, carry out a test drive and again read the DTC memory.

When the DTC memory is read, the following display should appear:
"No DTC recognized!"
